Welcome to my blog. The idea of a blog has been brewing in my mind for awhile now but has also had me intimidated. If you know me you know I am not on the cutting edge of technology and wasn’t sure what starting a blog would entail. Turns out it’s as easy as some of my friends told me it would be. So no more excuses!
The idea for this blog came out of a fantastic hiking trip I took in October with 5 other people including our guide. What a group! There was a lot of heartfelt sharing during our day hikes and over dinners. I shared that I am often daydreaming and fantasizing about the next thing I can be passionate about. Why can’t I take off for a month or two to hike the Pacific Crest Trail? Why can’t I work on a farm picking the food I am going to eat (one of the farm to fork restaurants we went to for a lunch and a dinner in southern Utah is hiring staff for their 2104 season – I know this because I went on their site when I got home). Why can’t I work alongside a landscaper weeding, mulching, planting, watering? Why do I usually want to relocate to every city I visit? I am content with my life and have a great group of friends and family. I have many interests which I’m sure I will share here over time. But I feel restless at times. I work full time, have health insurance, am independent, can support myself and save money for vacations as well as those rainy days. And that’s my dilemma if I can call it that; and that’s the theme of my blog. While I live my life where my feet are – and an amazing life it is – I wonder where my life will go, what paths it will take and where my feet will be tomorrow.. Can I be the only woman who feels this way?

Love the Blog! Love the picture of the dandelion, blow them and make a wish! You have and continue to be an inspiration to me. You are straight-forward and grounded yet full of enthusiasm and a thrill for life. I will enjoy following your feet. You are definitely not alone. I dream of the things I would like to do too. Excited to follow your journey. 🙂
Thanks Barbi. You know you got my feet moving when I ran my first 5K with you those many years ago!
